Yippee, well that’s how I felt after writing this piece months ago. So I decided to step back, reflect and be thankful for all that God has done for us. With thought running through my head I was thinking, it’s just 1 year of anniversary there’s nothing to shout about. Then I remembered that in all things give thanks to God and also my Pastor once said he celebrates key events in his life. That got me thinking no matter how small you see a thing, in Gods eyes it is mighty. His words say do not despise the days of little beginnings. Some were married for 1month or not even up to a year and decided that it was not meant for them.
But today I can stand and say thank you Jesus for this journey its one that has been eventful but purposeful. And I believe it’s a journey of growth for me and my man. God has truly blessed us with good people. Some key people have stepped into our lives and it has been a blessing. From the teachings, we heard and learnt by our lovely Pastor Sola and Pastor Bimbo. Also, we trying to be consistent In practising them has proved a massive change in our marriage. Each day, we learn to sacrifice for one and another and live selflessness for one another. Doesn’t sound as easy as it reads, but that consistent effort to keep at it would grow to be a lifestyle.
We are still growing and there’s still so much more we need to learn and unlearn. But we know that as God has started a great work in our marriage, He will continue a great work with us. So I write today and declare that we are thankful to God for all. Jesus take the wheel of our marriage and teach us how you have ordained marriage to be. Happy anniversary to us…Love from the Olorunfemi family
