Hey Beautiful People,

How was the month of September for you? I hope that regardless of how it went, you can look back and think of one of many things that have put a smile on your face and be thankful. So, I thought to do something a little bit different from my usual post and I will need your help with this. Please I want you to say these words, yes, it’s that simple just say I am unique, I choose to be me, I am not in competition with anyone else but myself, my purpose is unique to me and I choose to be different.

Have you ever thought to yourself, what really makes me different? Am I different or is it just a cliche because I still find myself wanting to be like another person? If it’s trending, then I want to play a part and don’t want to be left out. It’s so easy for us to compare ourselves with others, wondering why we don’t have the picture-perfect life they live. We admire, maybe sometimes even covert, idolize and long for their successes. The unfortunate thing is that if we are not careful, we lose sight and focus neglecting to build on our own beautiful unique blueprint that should define our originality. The word blueprint is a design plan that if followed will produce the results as originally intended. Your blueprint defines who you are, your wins, struggles and path in life, which is unique to you, no one else has this unique experience but you. And thinking it’s ok to ignore your blueprint to copy and follow others, we lose the authenticity of our own journey. it’s like diluting water with sprite, although it may look like sprite, it will never taste like sprite, and it will lose its original taste the manufacture intended.

Am not of the opinion that we shouldn’t learn from others or gain valuable insights to improve as we journey through life, however, we need to embrace our own design plan. And if you don’t even know what your design plan is, your unique blueprint then it’s time to go back to the one who created you. Of Couse, no one is perfect and can fall short by making the wrong decisions but because one is aware of who they are, they get up again to do better. The world needs your light to shine not a photocopy version of another person’s light. Honestly, I cannot do justice to the definition of what a blueprint is in relation to a person, because personally, I believe that for a person to truly comprehend and accept their unique blueprint, they have to know what they were created to be and accept their purpose of creation. Jeremiah 1vs 5 says “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born, I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations. You are uniquely crafted and created for a purpose.

This is not to judge or criticize but it’s an opportunity to check within, am I walking my path or am I distracted by another person’s path. Do I know who I am or am I ashamed to be who I was created to be? Have you ever wondered why is it so easy to blend in but not easy to stay on your own path? We see this happen in traffic when driving, some of us look for a faster lane, which could be faster but might not necessarily be the right lane for that journey. From a person who was not walking on her lane and distracted with the crowd and know so focused on who I was created to be, I can tell you that copying another person is so easy but it’s not rewarding. Being you and following your own unique blueprint requires discipline, leaning on God to direct your path and help you each day because it is not by your power or what you think you know but by His Grace. Do you have to retrace your steps because you feel lost in another person path, it’s never too late? Write what plans you will take to be conscious about living purposeful and leaning to God for strength and direction.

Be unique, this is who you are, the world is waiting on you. Your path is what makes you different and it is who you are. This might be a stretch for you but you’re going to appreciate your own unique blueprint as you grow on the journey of becoming you. Stay focused.

xoxo,
