Hi Beautiful People,

Yippy, its the final part 3 of this post regarding blogging and I am so excited to be concluding this series. I also can’t wait to share some new contents that I have in store for you. But, before I get too excited, I hope it’s been a good week for you.

So my first question is, have you thought about starting your own blog? From the last two previous posts, did any of my comments resonate with you? If you have finally decided to give it a go, congratulations. If you’re still thinking about it, please take your time but don’t think too deeply about it, you can just give it a go.

To help you kick start your blog, I will be sharing 6 steps on how to kick start your own blog.

  1. Before diving into the deep end, you might want to think of a name first for your blog. A good tip will be to use something descriptive, almost giving people a clue of what your blog is about. However, I didn’t use this approach when I started mine, as I didn’t have this level of information at the time. You can also use your name if that’s what you prefer, knowing that your name is going to be a great brand as you grow.
  2. There are quite a number of free blogging sites (WordPress or Wix and many others) for more details you can do a search on Google. There’s a lot of valuable information on starting a blog with a step-by-step guide that allows you to choose a design template for your blog. Please note that with the free sites you can’t tailor their templates to fit your brand.
  3. If you decide to go for a more tailored blog website like mine, this will give you the ability to customize your blog with a logo/banner or text contents. To achieve this you will have to purchase your own domain name i.e www.nikepearse.com. You can purchase a domain name via sites like Internet. bs or GoDaddy.com.
  4. The next step is to Host your domain name (The Host environment is a server where you kind of rent a space to build your blog) An example of those will be iPage or Bluehost service. Also, some of these Hosting sites do provide a free domain name, so do your research to find a deal package that suits your budget. Then you are able to install WordPress on the hosting site you decide to choose.
  5. Finally, you can begin to design your website by using the drag and drop template functionality or reach out to a web designer from budget sites like Fiverr and Peopleperhour to help you out.
  6. Now you can begin to write contents that the world has been waiting for.

Those are a few tips on how to kick start your blog. If you’re more interested in making money via blogging or getting traffic to your blog through search engines or marketing mediums, I am sure this information is also available online if you do some research.

I hope that I have been able to give you some valuable information that is useful. Please feel free to ask questions in the comments section and I will be willing to answer them.

xoxo,

bbb empower.
